DVD Customer Questions

Q: Will every dog in every class be on the video? Do you include all events?

A: YES, we do! Our edited DVDs cover every single dog in every single class in every single conformation event. We will video select performance events if contracted to do so by your club. We put as much of the judging as we can on the video, within time limitations.

Q: Can I order video of just my dog, or just the class? Can I get every single judge's cut?

Q: Other videos that we have seen are hard to follow; either the dogs are just not labeled or someone reads information from the catalog onto the tape, which is hard to follow. Do you label the dogs or events?

A: YES, we do! Since our recordings are all digital, and all of our video editing is done on the computer, what we do is to imbed a marker right into the digital video with each dog's AKC registered name and show armband number, and that is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Also, we use a digital menu system on the DVD that allows the viewer to select which event they wish to view at any time. For example, one might view the Top 20, then flip to Juniors, and go back to Best of Breed. That's great!

Show Chair Questions

Q: Will there be any charge or hidden costs to the Club?

A: NO! We do not charge any retainer or other fee to video the show. There is no minimum purchase requirement, and no guaranteed or quota number of DVD sales required.

Q: Will the Parent Club be expected to sell DVDs?

A: NO. We will handle all of the sales and transactions.

Q: What will the Parent Club be expected to do?

A: After we verbally agree, we will send a Video Services Agreement for signature. We would prefer to have an insert in your premium and/or pre-show mailer announcing that we will be filming your show. We would also like to have an advertisement in your show catalog, which will indicate that we are filming, and direct persons to our website for ordering information. We will like to have samples of our DVDs running at an exhibition table at the show. Finally, we like to put up a banner at the show, if permissable.

Q: You know, "abc" dog show video service sells their DVDs to the Parent Club at a discount so that the club can resell them at a profit. Why don't you do that?

A: We have very carefully studied the overall marketing of our product, and narrowed the price point to be extremely competitive. Our profits are linked to the number of DVDs sold. Most clubs just do not wish to guarantee a minimum number of DVDs purchased, which is how a discounted rate system typically works. Also, we have found it advantageous to relieve parent clubs of the overhead both in effort and expense of handling the sales and transactions.
